A SOUTH AMERICAN TRIBE

Whether this tribe still exists or not, it is real or not, it makes not much difference. The message transmitted is from the point of view of how it is when a human follows the laws of nature.

PREFACE

The following derives from Professor Marshall who in his voluminous correspondence with his friend Dr. Gerlach of Los Gatos, Calif, shared with him astounding knowledge given to him by this tribe. However, all that is available, are only a few notes that are found in a chapter of a book by the naturopath Teofilo de la Torre published in Costa Rica in 1957. It was Teofilo’s friend Dr Gerlach who allowed him to read Prof. Marshall’s letters, enough to fill a good-sized book. But this is all that is available:

Introduction

Professor Marshall, chemist, metallurgist, traveler, and lecturer, was born in Redlands, California, in February 1852. He developed tuberculosis in his early youth and was given up to die at the age of 23. However, through traveling and being in the open air he survived but was always weak and ailing.

During one of his travels in South America, as he was traveling near where this tribe had their camps, he lost his consciousness just as he stooped down to drink water out of a crystalline brook.

The Professor had exhausted his strength during his long journey through the South American jungle. His long suffering with tuberculosis of the lungs had exhausted his vitality; he was pale and extremely emaciated; he weighed only 45 kgs at that time. Therefore, when he fainted he remained in a comatose state, seemingly dead. He did not see how several Indians had been following and watching him; he was not aware of how those Indians picked him up and carried him to their camp; he did not notice how they fed him and anointed his body with certain medicinal substances prepared by them; he remained unconscious of everything week after week, month after month. Finally, after seven months, he awakened from his comatose state and could not believe the marvelous things which his eyes saw. During those seven months of unconscious life his body had been regenerated; he had increased about 23 kgs in weight, and he felt a physical and mental vigor never known to him before. The medicine man of the tribe anointed his body every day with various cactus preparations. His bed was earth, treated with cactus concentrates. So nourishing was the cactus latex and so highly potent were the organic salts of their preparations that the body of the unconscious man had healed and grown rapidly in muscular tissue. On awakening he thought that he was in a dream He looked at his arms and saw that they were more than twice their usual size. No wonder that he exclaimed: “Those are not my arms!” He had the same thought about the rest of his body: his legs, his chest every muscle of his body had been highly developed. He could not believe his eyes. He was anxious to know the reason for that seeming miracle. He then, stepped out of the hut and beheld a tribe of giant people, averaging more than two meters in height and weighting more than 115 kgs.

He becomes exceedingly interested, learns their language in due time and discovers marvelous things about them. He finds out that they are never sick in their life and that they preserve the vigor of youth to the last. He was astounded when he was told that some of those tall, strong, beautiful human specimens exceedingly well proportioned, with no gray hair and with no wrinkles in the face were over 100 years old and that their average span of life was more than 200 years preserving their sexual vigor to the last.

Professor Marshall remained with them for 15 years, observing their habits and learning their philosophy, these great secrets which they had drawn out from Mother Nature. With time, the tribe members gained confidence in him and entrusted him with the great mission of returning to so-called civilization to give to white men the benefit of their Natural Science.

Professor Marshall brought with him all the secret formulas to manufacture the cactus compounds which had produced such marvelous effect in his body. He settled in Arizona and began to manufacture the cactus preparations with the great hope of bringing to suffering humanity the vital knowledge which he had learned from “his people”.

Unfortunately, lack of finances prevented him from carrying on his great work on a profitable scale. He struggled on and on for many years in a high state of health. Then one day he was bitten by a tarantula, the poisonous effect of which almost caused his death. But he partially recovered and went on with his work until, one year or so after the accident, he died of the after-effects of the tarantula poison and due to his lack of fresh foods at his disposal (having only canned food and canned fish to eat), on September 12, 1932, at the 80 years, 32 years after he had left his tribe. He was a great man with a noble heart. He took with him to the grave most of the secret formulas he had been given by his friends, “his people”. So after the year 1900 when Prof. Marshall left them we have no news about them.

THEIR HISTORY

According to their legends, “are the descendants of a once great and populous people who were almost entirely destroyed when in the remote past the mountains went to war with each other, hurling tremendous rocks with flames of fire high into the sky; then mighty rushing waters filled the valleys; and the earth itself trembled so in its fury no living being was able to stand erect, the few escaping were forced to crawl away on all fours.”

The above pictorial narrative clearly describes one of those cataclysms which have taken place in the past during man’s evolution on earth. According to the Lemurian teachings, the continent of America was colonized by people from the great empire of the sunken Continent of Lemuria. That legend of the Cashibos tribe seems to describe the horrible cataclysm which caused the sinking of the Continent of Lemuria. So it must be that this South American tribe are the descendants of that great race who emigrated from the Mother Country, Lemuria, to colonize the American Continent.

The great knowledge of the Science of Life, their features and light olive complexion (blood showing through the skin as in the Caucasian) and their customs in harmony with nature, seem to prove it.

THE WAY OF LIFE OF THE CASHIBOS TRIBE

One could say that these are the only real Human Beings. Bacteriologically, biologically, elementally, agriculturally and eugenically they are far and away beyond what the best civilized races have to offer.

NOMADS

This tribe of about 2500 to 3000 people is strictly nomadic. They maintain themselves tough by moving from one camp to another, as far north as 25 latitude and as far south and south west as they see fit to go. This includes the so-called South Sea Islands.

They have a series of camps at various altitudes, ranging from a level where it never frosts to where it frosts every night visiting them at least once a year. They travel between these camps as a health precaution, planning carefully their moves as to include not only change of altitude but also as complete a change of living conditions as possible. If asked why not remain permanently located in one place, they reply: Did you ever see anything permanent in Nature? We try to live a natural existence. If Nature designed us to live permanently in one place we would have been supplied with roots like a tree. Nature made both of us.”

They always have houses, but they never live in them unless it is bad weather. If asked why they would say: If Nature desired us to live away from the open air and sunshine, we would have been endowed with a shell like a turtle.”

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER TRIBES

They do not allow members of the so-called civilized races among them. Evidently they have had an experience with some civilization that was in existence many years ago, even generations, far before the Spanish conquest. They will stand for no more of it.

As for their relationship with the surrounding tribes, they bring their afflicted to them for treatment and as an exchange they get fresh hides. Sometimes though but rarely the other tribes wage war against them, inspired by the twin evils; the modern missionary or the whiskey peddler. Then, being in an emergency, they may need to kill animals to survive.

DEATH

When any member of the tribe dies, the body is immediately dissected and carefully examined. Should this have been a natural death the camp is moved to a new site as a matter of precaution against epidemic. The combustible parts compose the funeral pyre for the dissected remains. Should the person have died through accident or violence, the study is made of the remains, but the camp is not moved.

DIET

They are vegans. When asked why not make more free use of the bird, animal and fish life they are so plentifully surrounded with, they reply: “When we have such an abundance of fruits, nuts and vegetables that amply supply all our needs, why destroy these animals? May be they like to live. We cannot talk to them; we don’t know that we have any right to kill them.”

As to their habits of feeding, they feed hunger at any time of the day or night.

As to the preparation of the food elements they make use of, it is up to the user, none controlling another, no restraint being placed on the individual. They merge the individual in the tribe. There is no such thing as one having many times more than he can use, while another starves to death through no fault of his own.

One would say that they live on a liquid diet as their foods are almost wholly fluidic also making beverages, but none of an alcoholic nature.

They use chiefly unfired foods, yet they do use heat in some of their food preparation.

Concerning the food they reason thus: Fruits are a natural morning meal. Nature uses them to cleanse the alimentary tract. Our activity aids in this cleansing. “Should they gather vegetables for the day’s use and find some left over, they never think of using them, but throw them away and next time they get fresh vegetables. They also use that fruit and vegetable that has been ripened in the season when it is ripened. Vegetables are used by Nature to build up broken down tissue and to purify the blood stream. Since Nature can make no repairs except during our periods of unconsciousness, hence vegetables become the natural evening meal; they must be immature to be at their best, and freshly gathered.

HEALTH

They are masters of their Functions, Emotions, and Appetites.

They are never sick. They have no chronic ailments and rarely acute ones. They never have colds.

They believe that all pathological conditions are brought about through ignorance. This is the cause of all kinds of disturbed functioning unless from adhesion, lesion, accident or violence.

These people never have deformities, abnormalities or mental defects. Their knowledge, understanding and wisdom regarding various kinds, qualities, and combinations of foods enables them to feed special parts of the body, be very tuned with each other in their sex life, and prevent conception. This is accomplished through a system known as “Tapu”. They are in no sense food faddists, but eat freely of any of the many kinds of food elements; yet they are extremely careful as to quality, quantity, and combination.

Regarding their menu, they refuse to eat that which bugs and animals avoid. Their system of food selection is that they also take cognizance of the meteorological conditions.

Concerning the function of the digestive tract being digestion, assimilation, and elimination, they consider elimination quite important. Hence they have no toxemia. The bowels move as often as they eat. They insist upon a free flow of perspiration at least once daily, preferably to be induced by useful exercise. In the absence of this, they will take a long run, in some cases covering miles.

Due to their natural vegetarian diet, when they have a bowel movement, there is but slight odor and that not at all noxious, resembling to rotten apples, and passes away almost immediately. The movement is never strained; the excreta is always well-formed and covered with a delicate film.

They also never have any kind of tooth ailment or anything like blood poisoning, unless from intentionally poisoned arrows, darts or spears. “At times they are bitten by poisonous serpents or insects, but when this does happen it is not looked upon as anything very serious, and is soon so neutralized that but little thought is given to it.

RELIGION

“As to their religion, they worship nothing, never have they done so. Since they live in perfect harmony with themselves and with the whole, they do not need religion to fix them. They do salute the sun in a festive way at the planting and at the harvest, but it has nothing to do with worship.

They also live a great deal in the water. All of their camps are located near water, and that of the very best. Also, the mineral salts content of the water is carefully considered.

BATHING

They have a tribal custom of everybody bathing at least once each day. Everybody anoints him/herself all over the body with Cactus Butter every day. Those too young or too weak are bathed and anointed by the more aged or able ones. This is a necessary procedure as they are feeding the body by absorption.

DRESS

Externally, they wear nothing at all except what is actually required for comfort or convenience. They have no such thing as mock modesty. They consider that wearing clothes exalts Man over the laws of Nature and they cause the storage or retention of toxic effluvia of the body, thus promoting external filth.

MENSTRUATING WOMEN

Their women know nothing about unnatural or disturbed menstruation, never having menstrual pains. They know when their periods will occur within a matter of hours. Seven days previous to this time, every woman retires to a place of isolation, a community house made for that.

They remain there until 7 full days after the menstrual period, which is α matter of moments, very much like a chicken laying an egg, and entirely free from color or odor. Their contention is that at the period of menstruation, or in other words, for 15 full days during their monthly reproductive life, women are a positive pollution to everything they come in contact with, themselves included. (Note: It has been scientifically demonstrated that the skin of a menstruating woman emanates a “menstrual toxin”, which causes flowers handled to wither, foods handled to spoil, etc.)

While they are away at the community house, their food is prepared for them and taken near, by other women. After they have eaten their meal, they cover up the vessels they have had to handle with soil. After the women of the tribe are satisfied enough time has elapsed, they go and get these vessels and put them under running water for further use.

PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH, CHILD REARING

Men abstain from intercourse during pregnancy as they intuitively know that this spoils the expectant mother’s milk.

Women of the so-called civilized race is the only species of female who indulges in this habit, which destroys the male men mentally, the female physically, and the expectant new organism morally.

There is never lamentation at childbirth. The woman usually attends to her own delivery and she has absolutely no pain giving birth. Occasionally, in the case of having the first child, a woman will call some older woman to help her, but this is extremely rare and never occurs at later deliveries. They also bear children but one every 7 years. Within an hour of the child’s birth it is washed, usually in some near-by running water, anointed with Cactus Butter at the fireside by its mother, and this ends the affair for both. Neither mother nor child ever have any after effects from this NATURAL function.

The mother will be as busy as usually up to the instant bearing- down contraction commence. Then she will act much as though it had occurred to her that there was something she had suddenly remembered, that she had to attend to, shortly before this takes place. She has prepared a couch close by to where she retires. The next thing the observer would be attracted by would be her reappearance at the fireside with her child.

Infants are never fondled, even by their mothers. Should a woman show a disposition to fondle and coddle her own infant to the child’s injury, it would be taken away from her and exchanged with some older woman’s nursing infant of about the same age.

The lives of their children prove beyond any question the source from which mankind originated. They swim like fish when they can scarcely walk. Within an hour of its birth the infant is placed in one of the receptacles intended for infant’s use. They are carefully designed so as to enable it without aid from others to get abundant exercise.

When their bowels move and soil the receptacle, the mother removes it into another similar receptacle after cleaning it. Then she cleans that one that has been soiled. In very few minutes it is clean and sanitary, ready for later use. When this mother desires to nurse her child, she rarely picks it up, usually lying by and aiding it while suckling.

They have a reason for this: To handle the child during the early periods of its existence would create helplessness and dependence on others in the child. Further it would have a tendency to strangulate the NATURAL triple circulations, lymphatic, arterial and venous.

Infants born of them never have had second-summer sickness, worms nor any of the many other customary infant’s and children’s complaints. They are wholly free from all kinds of chronic ailments.

Also the women’s breasts never sag at all, no matter how many children they may have borne. They never bear a child of more than 3,5 pounds (about 1,5 kg).

TRAINING OF CHILDREN

The system of child culture and training of this tribe is marvelous …They are so proficient in child culture and training that should you meet one of their children, estimated by temperamental characteristics, you would know them all. Their children never cry except occasionally at birth or when they are injured, and it takes quite some hurt to get a cry out of them. They never fight or quarrel and a voice raised in anger is never heard.

Were it possible to get immediately behind one of these people and explode a gun, the fellow would not even wince. He has such perfect poise and self-control. He would have already reasoned thus: that if that was intended to do me harm, it’s too late to get excited about it now. But in the first place, it would be impossible to get close behind him.

TRIBAL LIVING

They also have a perfect system of communication by sight, sound or scent as well as being telepathic.

Just like them, all aboriginal tribes lived a communal life, before civilization contaminated them… None ever did permit the hoarding away of the necessities of life by a few.

They admonish their members thus: Keep right with yourself; never do anything in private you would hesitate to do in public; never fail to be just with all with whom you come into contact; fear not.

They say it is evidently Nature’s plan for all tribes to work in harmonious association with the laws of Nature so as to make the world a better place for all, thus ensuring better conditions for the most important part of the population, the rising generation, who in turn will take our place.

They consider that “the general scope of human life is TO LIVE AS LONG AS WE DESIRE, provided it is not in discord with the laws of Nature, thus living our lives unselfishly and for the advancement of the world”.

They have no civil or military organization. Still they do have tribal laws, customs, and usages, all of which carry penalties for violation thereof. Their arch-criminal is anyone who is proven to have deliberately misrepresented anything. “This person is driven out from the tribe. Should they see fit to associate themselves with any of the surrounding tribes, all well and good, but should they attempt to force themselves back into the tribe, they would be destroyed by the first person detecting them in the act. Extremity of this type is resorted to in defense of the children as well as the adults.

AFTERWORD

Summing up, this Lemurian tribe is strictly what nature designed the entire more or less Human-Family to be. The fact that after all these years, just now we have the opportunity to hear about them (if all this is real), it is because back then humanity was not ready to receive this knowledge, so there was a reason why Dr Marshall was unable to transmit in its entirety their message. There were no ears that could listen. The following sentence pretty much denotes his view: “There is such a wide difference between their life, habits and education that are never sick and that of so-called civilized races, that are seldom well, that is hard to illuminate it on paper, to any person who has not enjoyed the opportunity to live among my tribe”.

Teofilo de la Torre who was a naturopath, in his book of naturopathy he chose to write the parts that were directly relevant to it. In this age now I believe that we have matured enough at least some of us to make a conscious leap towards harmonizing body and mind. We can take now the essence of their secrets, fill the gaps of what is missing and apply them in our life.

Unfortunately, our gross body may still be suffering the limitations of our living conditions that could be quite far from a harmonious life in nature surrounded by people who have the same mindset as us. Even leading an alternative lifestyle with the commodities that the Western civilization offers, we do not solarize our body with the finer forms of energy and at the same time grounding ourselves totally to the earth. Your shoes may be natural but your bare soles are not touching the earth.

If someone is a down to earth person who has at the same time a subtle connection with one’s innate essence, heightened emotional intelligence, and instinct of the natural world, then one can tap into this knowledge. It is in the air. Just learn to breathe.
